FAQ
Paragliding carabiners are lubricated with silicone during assembly. This is no longer necessary afterward, unless they become contaminated with sand or other debris. If this happens, wash them with detergent, rinse, dry, and lubricate with a light oil (as you would for mountaineering carabiners), but do not use grease! Check the carabiners regularly to ensure they are functioning properly!
Unlike carabiners used in mountaineering, paragliding carabiners are not subjected to impact but rather to fatigue wear. We recommend replacing them every 5 years or after 500 hours of use.
